The lovely Venus of Willendorf I fell in love with this figurine and have been carrying one carved in stone around for a long time - when I decided to make charms I knew she would be one of my favorites. To me she pays homage to the beautiful feminine figure and is my goddess of womanly things. I made her in a substantial size so she fits in your hand so you can comfortably hold her while meditating or praying. The story of this little figurine is that she is the oldest object d'art known, dated somewhere between 25,000 - 30,000 BCE, the original is made in Limestone, and stone not found anywhere near where the figurine was found in Willendorf, Austria. Some feel that she was a fertility figure, she had no stand so it is thought that she was pushed into the ground to stand. I carved her in wax and then made a mold of her, I can cast into the metal of your choice. It measures approx 1.2”x.5”, she hangs on a leather cord (if you are vegan I have a beautiful cord which I use for my crystals and looks amazing braided). I usually have these in stock but it can take up to three weeks if I need to cast them - please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
